THE ITEM
These beautiful pieces of Mid Century Modernist pitcher and tumblers are by pottery studio Fritz Van Daalen, Germany.
These high-quality pieces glazed on the exterior with a silky, glossy red that is lightly mottled with brown. The interior is glazed with a glossy white, beautifully contrasting the red.
The forms of the pitcher and tumblers are of an elegantly simple design, staying true to the Modernist design principle of providing an honest and beautiful expression to the natural materials. The form and glaze combination is a rare find, especially in such superb condition.
