This striking work of Post Modern design is by Steuler Design of Steuler Keramiks of Germany.

The simple conical form features a sliced hollow that is smooth on one side and staggered on the other, giving this piece a fantastic silhouette. The combination of the rounded exterior and geometric hollow creates an excellent canvas for the gorgeous decor.

The exterior gloss glaze is a tightly dappled Gunmetal grey-black that is finished at the rim with an accent of gloss black. The hollow feature is glazed with a gloss Lemon yellow on the smooth side and an alternating gloss Jet black with deep Indigo blue glaze on the staggered side.

CONDITION
Very Good. No chips or repairs. There is mild crazing to the glaze of the cutout hollow and light use wear that is predominantly found in movement marks on the underside of the base, both of which is commensurable with the age of the piece. There are also a few minor pocks in the yellow and blue glaze which has come from the production process and is mentioned for completeness. Please refer to photos as they form part of the condition report. The underside of the base bears Steuler's stamp denoting logo and 'STEULER DESIGN'.
