This sweetly adorable and hand decorated figure is by Swedish ceramicist and designer Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg Ceramics.
The rounded form and attentive expression really help make this piece live up to its name.
This piece is one of 14 that was designed in 1972 as part of the 'Kennel' series designed by Larson. This design is part of Larson's represented work at the Swedish National Museum, Stockholm.
CONDITION
Excellent. No chips, cracks or repair. There is mild wear of movement marks on the underside of the figure's base - please refer to photos as part of the condition report. The underside of the base is also stamped with Gustavsberg's mark which in use between 1970 to 1978. The stamp denotes 'GUSTAVSBERG, LISA L., SWEDEN'.

Lisa Larson (b.1931) is a Swedish ceramicist and designer. She is well known for sculptures series such as 'Small Zoo', 'ABC-girls', 'Africa' and 'Children of the World'. Larson is well known for her warm-hearted, humorous, sometimes subtly ironic design and is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
