This ethereal work of handblown work of mid-century art glass is by Murano, this piece brings with it a blended application of the Sommerso art glass technique.
Sommerso is one of the most popular and widely recognised Murano techniques, which in Italian literally means “submerged”. This technique is used to create several layers of glass (usually with different contrasting colours) inside a single object, giving the illusion of 'immersed' colours.
This particular piece brings together a vivid and warm Cerulean blue and a golden Amber tone, capturing both tones in a clear body with light traces of overlap, as highlighted in the images. The piece is finished with the iconically Murano fishtail points.

Very Good. There is very light use wear of water staining on the interior and there are 2 minor flakes on the underside that are not visible when the vase is upright. Use wear is typical and commensurable with the age of the piece. Please refer to photos as they form part of the condition report.
