THE ITEM
This piece is a Northwood Klondike blue pre-depression glass dish, which to me - looks like a work of art, even when its the wrong side up. Whether you choose to use it as a bon-bon or berry dish, or even to display on its own, it doesn't matter.
A BIT OF HISTORY
Carnival glass was made for the likes of us that wanted a iridescent work of art but couldn't readily afford Art Nouveau glass such as Loetz. Well, here is a wonderful example of such work. I think the photos speak louder than words of the delicate, elegant beauty. Carnival glass has enjoyed an enduring status of being collectable throughout the years.
CONDITION
Superb. No chips or scratches or cracks, age-wear (wear that is commensurable with age) us present, please see photos as part of condition report.
